N2 - This master's thesis examines the possible applications and acceptance of artificial intelligence (AI) in everyday school life from the perspective of teachers, as well as the question of the extent to which teaching can be planned with the help of such technologies and tools. In the introductory theoretical section, key terms such as AI, machine learning, and deep learning are clearly defined, their potential and limitations are discussed, and framework models are applied to their significance for teacher training. In the empirical section, qualitative interviews with five teachers are conducted and evaluated to gain insights into current use, barriers, and training needs. Mayring's deductive method was selected, and the interviews and statements of the interviewees were classified accordingly. It became quite clear that the use of AI among teachers currently plays a rather minor role. As a result, a “short guide” was created after the empirical part, which teachers could use to familiarize themselves with AI tools and integrate them into their teaching. Initial findings show interest in individualized support options, but at the same time uncertainty in handling them and a need for targeted training in prompt engineering and the critical use of AI. The paper concludes that AI tools can provide useful support for lesson planning, but their potential can only be fully exploited with professional and didactic reflection and accompanying training.
